When we checked in, we were given a "room with a view," and charged an additional $45 per night for the upgrade. Unfortunately, there was absolutely no view. Stepping out the door of the room, all I could see was another section of hotel rooms directly in front of us. Looking left and right, there were more hotel rooms, and the view from the balcony was a rooftop covered with AC units. Paying extra for what amounted to a view of concrete and mechanical equipment was extremely disappointing.||The next morning, I needed to shower before an important medical procedure. I turned on the hot water and let it run for a very long time, but it never got hot. When I called the front desk, it took quite a while for someone to answer. After explaining that I had no hot water and that I needed to get ready for a medical procedure, the employee asked, "What would you like me to do about it?" Then she followed with, "Do you want me to send engineering to your room?" The lack of urgency and concern was frustrating and came across as dismissive.||Once I was finally able to shower, I found hair on the soap dish, hair on the shower walls, and hair in the tub. It was disgusting and made me question the cleanliness of the room.||To make matters worse, there was a flashing light in the bedroom that blinked every five seconds throughout our stay.||Also had to haul luggage up several flights of steps as there appeared to be no elevator. Parking is horrendous.||Overall, this property feels dated, yet it charges premium prices. Between the nonexistent "view," lack of hot water, cleanliness issues, and poor customer service, this stay fell far below what I expect from a Hilton property. I've stayed in much nicer hotels for far less money. I left extremely disappointed and would not recommend paying the premium rates at Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort. I probably won't ever use a Hilton Honors property again.

The rooms were nice, the architecture of the resort was interesting with lots of different buildings along the Hillside. The inside of the room were not five star because they were obvious aesthetic blemishes and the bathroom door rubbed heavily on the ground when opening. The restaurant Different Pointe of View was nice, the food was as good as expected for a restaurant of that quality but nothing special. The pools are great especially for families, I highly recommend renting a cabana.

It’s not bad it’s decent. I wouldn’t call it a resort, I’d call it a hotel. It was my kiddos last weekend before school so we wanted them to enjoy and relax and this was their first time experiencing “room service” so I wanted to go to talking stick because their room service was top notch but that wasn’t a kid friendly hotel so we came to this one because it advertised a water slide and waterfalls and 7 pools so we said why not. So upon arriving, our check in process was quick and efficient. Our room was in the main building so that was good because this is indeed on a cliff so it’s like you’re either walking uphill or downhill and my husband had an ankle injury so he really couldn’t do much walking. Our room was a double bed and it was okay. Bathroom was separated from the sink which was a plus but my God was the bathroom small! No biggie we made it work. We went to the main pool with the slide, the slide was closed. It’s fine we’ll swim in the regular pool with the waterfall. Cafe was closed by 5pm so that was disappointing. After swimming we ordered room service which was the most anticipated thing for my kids. Tell me why they delivered it in to go boxes. Like where’s the real plates and silverware so they guests can enjoy the experience? Again, no biggie deal but such a disappointment. The couch was incredibly disappointing it sounded old and uncomfortable as heck. Next morning, I was so excited to go downstairs to get a coffee from their café. The barista was so nice she’s from Florida and her whole personality is the reason why the service is getting five stars but I wish the CAFE open past 12 PM we also went to point Restaurant and our waiter/host was amazing since my kids were both seven years old. He didn’t charge them and only charged me for the breakfast buffet, which I appreciate and also the other reason why the service is getting five stars if you are planning to stay in the main building, I will have just that you call in advance for transportation because it is an appeal when you go back to your room so we had to wait for 10 minutes for the cart to come down and grab us which again it’s not a big thing but when it’s 110°, you don’t wanna be walking uphill while soaking wet. This place can definitely be improved until then. I shall try another Hilton hotel their customer service, however, was top-notch. And lastly, I really think they should renovate their waterslide because that waterslide not only does it look dangerous. I wouldn’t let my kid go down that slide because it just doesn’t look right.

Positive: The variety of pools around the properties was what made the trip most enjoyable. The dining room with the buffet breakfast was very good. Negative: The parking for my car was atrocious. There was 4 parking spaces in front for the 20 room building. The room did not have a microwave oven. We were not able to check in until after 4:00, and the resturant closed for the day at 5:00.

I recently stayed at the Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix, Arizona and found it to be a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The rooms were impressively spacious and included a convenient kitchen area, which made the stay feel even more comfortable. I feel like we were given an upgraded room, because this one had a dining area, living room with fireplace, and 1 1/2 bathrooms and separate bedroom. The only negative with the suite was that there was a lot of carpet buckling going on in the dining and living room area. This was definitely something I tripped on more than once. I let someone at the desk know about it. Overall, it was only a short walk to the pool, hot tub, and exercise area, all of which were well maintained and inviting. I know there is more than 1 pool, but we just went to the closest one by our room. ||The staff throughout the resort were warm, welcoming, and consistently provided excellent service. We also enjoyed the Point in Tyme restaurant and it’s a comfortable space with great atmosphere.||The only downside was the parking. The roads within the resort are extremely narrow, and many spots require tight parking, which can be a bit stressful.||We didn’t have time to try the spa on this visit, but it’s on our list for next time. I love that they offer massage, haircuts, nail treatments, etc. all in one convenient spot. The resort is also conveniently located near several local Phoenix hot spots, making it easy to explore the area. It's also only a 20-25 minute drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, but it feels so secluded and "far away" at the same time.||Overall, a wonderful stay and a place we look forward to returning to.

Pleasure booking for my wife and I. Photo's and the 4-star rating ended up being overrated. This is a 3-star hotel at best. Many issues disrupted our vacation starting with our room not being ready at 4pm. The front desk was helpful in getting us reassigned to another resort view room. Which, brings up a major issue at this hotel. Resort view is not what you think. The photo I added is our resort view of a parking lot. Second issue was the construction. It was apparent during our stay that they told the construction crew to not start before 8am. The problem was is that they showed up with their equipment unloaded machines and waited until 7:58am each day to start the concrete saws. Not a great vacation waking up hours before we wanted. My mobile phone never worked for the room access, but did for the pool gate. I will say the people working at the main pool were attentive and helpful. The managers are this property listen well, but don't act on what they hear.

We enjoyed it here. There are a lot of families and kids which is awesome but does keep it from being as quiet as some might hope for it to be. A little distant from some of our events/activities... totally my fault. Casino-west/arena/stadium are 30 minute Uber. Recommend a rental car if staying multiple days in Phoenix.

When we first got to our room, we opened the curtains and saw that a pigeon was nesting there, and the windows were filthy. We asked for a room change, and they changed it for us, only to find two of them in the second room. Luckily, they flew away and didn’t return. That was my biggest concern. The balcony design needs to be reworked to keep the birds out. Seeing a nest and bird droppings is disconcerting and unsettling. There were also several crickets in the new room when we switched. We were offered to switch again, but were tired of moving around, so we tolerated it. Aside from that, the room, and the property in general, are very dated, and in need of a serious upgrade. There were no usb outlets anywhere in the room, and the only electrical outlets near the bed, were on one side only. I also would have liked a full length mirror. We went to some beautiful events on the property, and they were amazing. The staff that I came in contact with were all attentive and professional. Definitely the jewel in the crown was the Point of View venue, at the top of the hill.
